Henrietta House

In 2021, I was commissioned by Art Source to create three large-scale wall paintings for the 5th floor of Henrietta House, CBRE’s London headquarters.
This was my very first attempt at making murals, and the experience was as intimidating as it was exciting, not to mention a steep learning curve.
I thought it might be interesting to consider this project from the point of view of the residents of the building, as they would have to coexist with these artworks for an extended period of time.
The aim was to turn these designs into empty vessels, gradually blending into the fabric of the building and the hum of everyday life.
Despite their size and boldness, the designs are as open as possible. They use the line as the basic building block, allowing transparencies between the different layers, and tying the three artworks together.

Paintlab 2023

Paintlab is an ongoing initiative dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge research led by scientists at Imperial College London. It pairs them with ten artists to create artwork inspired by their research, which is painted live on boards during the Exhibition Road Festival to explain to the wider public what they're currently working on.
I was very fortunate to have the chance to collaborate with Dr. Edward Johns, the director of the Robotics department at Imperial College London. He shared the topics he was currently exploring with his team, which involved teaching robots to perform specific operations using Dall-E as an "imagination engine". At the core of my research was the AI's real-time query to provide the robot with a visual depiction of the object to be identified and moved to a specific location, while the algorithm gradually refined the image resolution (the process is actually lightning fast).
The piece was completed in 15 hours, measuring about 2.5 square meters. Dr. Johns visited on many occasions to provide feedback and answer the public's questions about his research."
