Delivery & returns
At present, we only accept orders to UK and Mainland Europe addresses via this website.
UK Orders: All parcels are sent via recorded delivery, with a flat fee of £10 to cover postage and packing costs. Please allow 5 to 7 working days for delivery.
Europe Orders: Similarly, a flat fee of £15 will be added for delivery.
If you are outside the UK or Europe and wish to place an order, please contact us directly to arrange the shipping fee and delivery time (up to 21 working days, though we will aim to get your order to you faster).
We strive to ship orders promptly, but as a small business, occasional delays may occur. Please note all the prints are photographed before being posted.
Yann Brien is not responsible for any international duties or taxes related to your order—these are the customer’s responsibility.
Lost or damaged
Yann Brien cannot be held responsible for parcels damaged during shipping. Once your parcel is with the postal service or courier, the risk of loss or damage transfers to you.
If your parcel is lost or returned to us as unclaimed—due to an incorrect or inaccessible address, or if it was not collected in time—additional shipping fees will be required to arrange reshipment.
If we notice any address issues before shipping, we will make every effort to contact you for the correct details.
Unpacking your print
Each print is carefully enclosed in a crystal poly bag and placed—again, with care—into a poster tube or envelope. Upon receiving your order, please handle the print carefully to avoid any damage.
For larger prints that arrive in a poster tube, the safest way to remove the print without risking creases or tears is to gently pull on the poly bag while simultaneously pulling the inner corner of the sleeve (not the print itself) in a clockwise motion. This will reduce the diameter of the rolled print, allowing it to slide more easily out of the tube.
We recommend keeping the print in its protective sleeve until you’re ready to hand it over to your preferred framing service.
Colour accuracy
Whilst we make every effort to ensure the images on the Yann Brien site accurately reflect the colours of the original prints, please be aware that differences in monitor settings may cause slight variations between what you see on screen and the actual print.
If there are any significant colour discrepancies within an edition, we will highlight them on the site—please refer to individual product descriptions for further details.
If you have any questions about a piece displayed on this website, or require additional photos, please contact us.
In the rare event we send you the wrong print, please send us a photo of the item you received. Once we confirm the mistake, we will promptly send you the correct print after processing the return, and we’ll cover return shipping costs.
Framing advice
After several years of showing work in exhibitions, fairs, and galleries, we started offering framing advice to clients. Four years ago, we upgraded the glass we use to frame prints, choosing Artglass (also known as Groglass) as our standard.
While slightly more expensive, Artglass offers a significant improvement over standard glazing, offering both reflection control and UV protection (70%). There are three available grades, with the 70% UV protection being the most affordable.
Artglass is especially effective for graphic, line-based, and high-contrast works, as reflections can interfere with the immersive and perceptual effects these designs intend to create.
Returns & refunds
If you need to cancel your order or have any issues, please contact us at list(at)yannbrien.com as soon as possible, and we’ll assist with the return process.
We do not offer exchanges for unwanted prints, as the editions are often very limited—sometimes as few as 10 per edition—and the print you wish to exchange for may no longer be available.
To return an order, please mark the parcel clearly as ‘RETURN’ and send it to:
Yann Brien
Flat 51, Welby House
Hazellville Road
London N19 3LZ
Please note: We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage during return shipping. We recommend using a reliable, tracked delivery service for your return.
If you are not completely satisfied with your artwork, you can cancel your purchase and receive a full refund (excluding postage and packaging charges). To be eligible for a refund, the print(s) must be returned in mint condition, in their original protective packaging (please mark the envelope or tube ‘RETURN’), along with the original proof of purchase, within 14 days of receiving your order.
These conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
